You can easily find yourself in a trap in turbo sit and go tournaments, if you actually go on a streak and win a few. The truth of it is, they WILL eventually send you spiraling in such a way that can render you unfit for real life. That is not a prediction, but rather a mathematical surety.

There are two main factors that will make you be on top of your poker game. These two factors are skill and focus. You need poker skills in order to realize what decision to make. Sometimes you will have to raise, other times you will have to fold, and other times you will have to bluff. You will also need focus in order to use your poker skills to the maximum. There’s no use in having excellent poker skills if you cannot properly use them, now is it?

There is a new writer in the poker world, and he is an English sounding dude living in New York and playing a lot in the private poker clubs and Atlantic City Casinos. The only reason I know he is English sounding is because included in his very well thought out book titled Limit Holdem Hand by Hand, The Quick and Easy Way to Advanced Poker Play is quite an extensive DVD that beginners will find very useful.

A very quick run down of a game of texas holdem:
Texas Holdem poker a very popular card game played with a standard deck of cards, To start the game the dealer provides each player with two personal cards face down so that no one else can see them. The dealer always deals to their left. Additionally, there are four more community cards dealt out over stages with betting inbetween. The four community cards can be combined with the two personal cards to form highest five card poker hand. The best 5 card poker hand is the winner.
